to the extent necessary for technical operation and gameplay functionality.
The legal basis for data processing is Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest), in particular ensuring server security, stability, and proper gameplay operation.
2. Data Collection on This Website
This website does not use cookies, tracking tools, analytics services, or external
content providers.
Local storage may be used by your browser to save technical preferences (e.g. theme selection or active tabs). This data is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to the server.
3. Server Log Files
When accessing this website or connecting to the game server, technical data may
be logged automatically, including:
- IP address
- Date and time of access
- Connection and error logs
These logs are required for technical operation, debugging, abuse prevention (e.g. DDoS protection), and security monitoring (e.g. firewall / iptables rules).
Log data is not merged with other data sources and is not used for tracking or profiling.
4. Game Server Data
When connecting to the Avalon Homestead game server, the following data is stored
as part of normal gameplay operation:
- SteamID
- In-game character name
- Gameplay-related progress data
This data is required to maintain game progress, character persistence, and server integrity.
Certain gameplay elements (e.g. leaderboards) may publicly display in-game character names as part of the intended game mechanics.
SteamIDs, IP addresses, and gameplay data are stored in separate technical contexts and are not combined to create personal profiles.
5. Data Storage and Location
All data is stored exclusively on a privately operated home server located in
Germany. No data is hosted in external data centers or cloud services.
No personal data is transferred to third parties.
6. Third-Party Services
No external services, analytics providers, advertising networks, or embedded
third-party content are used.
Data is only disclosed if legally required by applicable law.
7. Data Retention
Personal and technical data is stored only for as long as necessary to ensure
proper server operation and gameplay functionality, or as required by law.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- request information about stored personal data
- request correction or deletion of your data
- request restriction of processing
- object to data processing where applicable
